In September of 2010, a disastrous fire completely destroyed Covit's anodizing facilities, creating a huge setback for the company's operations and business in general. Now, just over a year later, Covit has rebuilt and restructured, and is poised to convert what was a blow to its enterprise into the inception of a new era.

Covit never left the market, but maintained a somewhat low profile as it gathered strength. Now, the company is coming back with plenty of energy and a new, dynamic business attitude. After the tragic loss of its facilities, the only way for the company to remain viable and guarantee deliveries was to outsource one essential part of its production line - the anodizing. While in the midst of completely restructuring its operations, the staff also had to find time to develop a new factory.

From day one, everyone gave his all, working quickly and adroitly. Miraculously, just nine months after the fire, Covit's new anodizing facility was inaugurated and set in motion. The new line was designed to transcend the one that was lost and to fulfil the requirements of today's customers. Much improved, the anodizing line has an immense capacity for small and medium size runs, the ability to include custom colouring, flexibility in terms of types of pieces, rack movement systems, and the full integration of both chemical and electrolytic brightening technologies.

At present, the atmosphere at Covit is one of reacquired stability and positivity, looking toward the future rather than the past. The new facilities sport the most modern automated anodizing line on the market, housed in a new building especially conceived for the purpose, and featuring a new laboratory and offices.

After its hiatus, Covit will be re-entering the market and demonstrating its strength of purpose by showcasing all of its products and capabilities at Luxe Pack Monaco this year, in the Diaghilev hall at stand DB7.
