The Givenchy amenity kit given to customers in the new Air France La Première suite won the award for the best First Class airline unisex travel kit 2014 at the Travel Plus Awards.
The ceremony was held in line with World Trade Catering Expo 2015, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Hamburg, Germany. Albéa, a renowned international player in the creation, design and manufacture of amenities for the Beauty and Air Travel sectors, is proud to share this Travel Plus Award with two prestige brands, Givenchy and Air France.
This achievement reflects Albéa Beauty Solutions' expertise in managing complex projects, including design and supply chain monitoring but also coordinating the entire value chain (product sourcing, assembly, kitting, transport and logistics).
To welcome guests to its La Première suites, Air France wanted to provide exceptional, made-tomeasure service through a range of luxury accessories. The shapes, colours and materials were designed to convey gentleness and calm. These amenity kits have two roles in the traveler's experience:
- Functional: Provide the items needed for on-board wellbeing, e.g. toothbrush, mouthwash
- Emotional: Create surprise, reward our customers with haute-couture care
The Givenchy kit for La Première was designed to be noble and refined, in black leather like material, symbolizing the "Soin Noir de Givenchy" range. Its closure adds a subtle touch of red, recalling one of La Première's own colors.
Like a velvet-lined jewelry case with a stylish, silky feel, the Givenchy kit has a mirror for beauty touch-ups at any time during the flight. The Givenchy kit for La Première holds 4 carefully selected products:
- Le Soin Noir face cream (10ml)
- Lift Intense anti-tiredness roll-on for the eyes (9ml)
- Hand cream (10ml)
- Le Soin Noir lip balm (7ml)
In addition to the products, the kit contains:
- A spatula for easier product application
- A Givenchy and Air France leaflet
- Eye mask
Since 2006 Albéa has been drawing on all of its know-how to serve Air France through the production of amenity kits for its Premium-Eco, Business and La Première classes and supporting the company on kits that evolve every year in every class, with a new design every six months.
Air France renewed its confidence in Albéa by choosing the group to produce the kits celebrating the legendary airline's 80th anniversary.
Travel plus Awards: Selection criteria and process
The selection criteria defined by Travel Plus were based on fulfilment of the following aspects:
- T: Trend
- P: Pleasure
- L: Luxury
- U: Usability
- S: Style
The judges selecting the winners had to have taken at least 6 return flights in the previous 12 months for business or pleasure.
The best kits were assessed in small discussion groups by judges with travel experience in the relevant category, in accordance with the Travel Plus criteria. The small groups made objectivity and impartiality possible, with the emphasis on passenger's own impressions.
