On Friday morning the Chairman of Gruppo ASA, Mr. Emilio Amati, received the official visit of an Indian delegation led by the Minister of Industry for Food Processing, Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal. The Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of India in Italy, Mr. Anil Wadhwa, by the San Marino Secretary of State for Industry, Mr. Marco Arzilli, and by the General Manager of the San Marino Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Massimo Ghiotti.
 
Mr. Amati, who welcomed the delegation in an atmosphere of friendship, introduced the Group he chairs. He described its development and recent takeovers, as well as the uniqueness and sustainability of its business model – the so-called “hub and spoke” model – which makes it possible to maximise the efficiency of the supply chain. Then, Mr. Amati showed the delegation the products and the features his recyclable permanent metal packaging, which keeps its properties for an indefinite period of time. Later, the guests visited the plants, which impressed them greatly.
 
Emilio Amati stated: ‘I feel rewarded by the fact that this delegation chose to visit my company. Our Group has always maintained excellent relationships with India: the steel we use in the production of our packaging comes from plants based in Northern Europe, which, up to some months ago, were owned by Indian economic giant Tata Steel. Furthermore, I have friendly relationships with the Indian delegate at the International Packaging Association, where I represent Italy’.
