Stull's Ultra Light Flip Top Caps

Although it seems illogical, a well-designed closure can use as much material as a molded bottle, weighing almost as much and equally contributing to the company's CO2 footprint.

The newly formed MoldRite/Weatherchem/Stull triumvirate has released the Ultra Light Flip Top, designed to be light weight and to offer companies a new closure for squeezable dispensing. Ideal for condiments -- honey, sauces, mustards, dressings, mayonnaise -  and household products -- dish detergents, car polish, and hand soaps - the closure is lighter than  most of its closure counterparts. Products topped with the Ultra Light cap can result in lighter total truckloads, cutting down on both shipping costs and the total CO2 footprint of the product.

Attractive on the shelf, the closure can make any product stand out for added brand recognition.  However, when the product is in the hands of the consumer is when it really shines. Opening the product is easier than ever with the Ultra Light's 180 degree Easy Open recessed area. Consumers can effortlessly flip open the closure from various angles and the one piece closure ensures a cap never rolls off a counter onto a floor.

The interior of the closure features an interesting addition - that of Stull's special "liquid trap" design. Often, food products will separate when stored and liquid will rise to the top, only to be discovered when the consumer turns the bottle over and splatters their food with it because they forgot to shake the product. The liquid trap helps ensure this doesn't happen.  The specially designed orifice feature extends under deck into good product, and helps keep separated liquid from dripping out when the bottle is squeezed.

Aside from allowing more product and less liquid to dispense, the orifice is also optimally positioned on the closure to maximize control, accurately and evenly distributing the desired amount of the product.

Companies get a closure that doesn't impact so heavily on the environment. Consumers get a closure that offers an improved usage experience. The Ultra-Light Flip Top seems to be making everyone happy...
