CanGro Foods Inc. has selected the Bapco 82mm Twister closure for the launch of their Del Monte “ready to eat” fruit in a jar.

An easy to open, fully re-sealable closure that does not leak.

This new packaging development was driven by their market’s desire for a consumer friendly wide mouth light-weight container.

The unique 3-part Bapco Closure system, has a fresh foil seal, securely welded to the bottle, providing a 100% barrier. In addition the foil acts as a vacuum panel, enabling a new light-weight 540ml polypropylene jar to be developed by Graham Packaging.

Fully recyclable, the final package offers a weight saving of around 20 percent. Designed as a light-weight, shatterproof, straight-sided container, pallet stacking can be enhanced, secondary packaging minimized and distribution efficiencies improved.
