Bapco Closures among Pro2Pac challenge contenders
Bapco Closures, a leading designer and supplier of closures for the food and drink industry, has announced it will take part in the Pro2Pac Packaging Design Challenge.
The company is one of five entrants set to showcase their unique concepts at the challenge, which will take place at the event on 13-16 March at London's ExCeL. Bapco Closures will be up against some of the UK's most innovative packaging designers and manufacturers also keen to be crowned champion.
Bapco Closures has joined forces with agency Coulthard Designs to enter the Luxury Food and Drink Packaging category in the challenge. Their concept will take a premium chocolate brand and transfer it to the consumer chocolate spread category. It will revolve around Bapco Closures' unique closure technology; a two-part injection-moulded system with an integrated foil laminate that secures leak-proof packaging and is easy to open.
Peter McGeough, Co-founder and Head of Operations at Bapco Closures, said: "We're really excited to be part of the Packaging Design Challenge. It's an opportunity to adapt our closure technology to the glass packaging market, which is a new arena for us. If the feedback on our concept is positive then we will look at pursuing the idea over the next few months.
"We're keen to hear visitors' thoughts, so please do come along to see our concept for yourself and support us in the Challenge!"
Visitors keen to view Bapco Closures' concept should go to the Packaging Design Challenge zone at Pro2Pac. The entry with the most votes will be crowned winner on the final day of the show.
