Libo opens new facilities in Taiwan

Libo Cosmetics, one of Asia's foremost packaging firms dedicated to the creation of fine items for the cosmetic industry, has opened new facilities in Taiwan, mostly dedicated to the production of metal components though the factory also features plastic lines.

The Libo team in Taiwan has celebrated the opening of their brand new facility, and are now devoting their energy to serving the packaging industry, particularly with regard to the custom design and tooling of aluminium caps and parts.

Currently, the factory houses nine large scale machines for the production of A-shells, collars, fragrance caps, mascara shells, and other items created from metal, predominantly aluminium. Keeping its employees in mind, the new machines run at low decibels, with large exterior facades that keep noise isolated during stamping, providing a better working environment for staff in the workshop. After production, the factory offers full anodizing and polishing, to ensure aluminium components look their best, in whatever colour the client requires.

The new location also offers four injection lines similar to the company's current factory in DongGuan, China, with more slated to be added according to production demands. Further, there are two automated lipstick component assembly lines, with high production capacities requiring no labour and only a modicum of maintenance.

Libo has garnered a lot of attention over the last few years, not only for its ability to produce high quality cosmetic and personal care packaging, but also for its capacity for experimenting with decoration options to create new and interesting techniques bound to cause a stir among those in need of packaging. Libo supports the fight against breast cancer

Revlon has been a partner of American health leader Rex Healthcare for some time, and in tandem have created a variety of charity projects designed to increase awareness of the fight against breast cancer. Libo Cosmetics fully supports the efforts of the initiatives, and this year, Ms. Gina Lin, General Manager of Libo, represented the firm at Revlon's Charity Golf Tournament in North Carolina.

As Revlon’s manufacturing plant is located in Oxford, North Carolina in the USA and Rex Healthcare is next door in Raleigh, North Carolina, the two firms often cooperate to raise money for cancer research and on side projects designed to promote awareness among women. One such initiative is the Revlon mobile mammography unit, which has screened more than 22,000 women for breast cancer since hitting the road in 2001, and has helped save many lives by providing a tool for early detection.

Since 2005, Revlon’s commitment to Rex Healthcare has also helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars through the Revlon Charity Golf Tournament in North Carolina, which is held every October.

This year, the tournament took place on the 15th, with Libo represented by Ms. Gina Lin, who along with Libo's donation to the cause, took several compacts for participants decorated for the occasion (see the images). Libo will be repeating the initiative in 2013, ensuring that all the participants at next year's event receive a complementary compact decorated with the characteristic ribbon representing the struggle against breast cancer.

When asked to comment on how she played, Ms. Lin simply smiled and said, "That's not really as important as the reason for being there, is it?"

Never one to rest on its laurels, Libo has released new compacts featuring a unique combination of decoration options and materials that together form the Safari line of cosmetic packaging.
