Eighteen months ago, Neopac's management team decided to strive for ISO 14001 certification as part of its environmental management strategy. Since then, the company has been working hard to identify key figures and set itself firm targets for the future. Neopac was officially certified as an environmentally-conscious company this spring.

Daniel Müller, the Environmental Manager in charge of the project, explained: “I was surprised to find out just how much Neopac has actually done for the environment over the decades. This was all done behind closed doors, without comparing annual figures or press releases. Neopac sets a good example with its environmentally friendlier printing inks: we have already converted 100% from heat-cured to UV-cured inks whilst other companies are still striving to follow in our footsteps. Our production waste is another example.  This is completely recycled thanks to local purchasers”.

“I’m delighted about the certificate”, Daniel Müller continued. “It’s proof of our long-term commitment to the environment." In the same vein, Neopac has also renewed ISO 9001 and ISO 15378 certification (primary pharmaceutical packaging).
