Insertless Spray Technology for aerosol spray caps
Plasticum has developed a proprietary spray solution with a patented technique for aerosol spray caps, integrating both the actuator and insert in one product. Plasticum will exhibit this technology at Aerosol Forum in Paris, 10th and 11th March, stand C06.
The spray orifice of the button is positioned just above the stem to optimise the control and performance when activating the aerosol. A special chamber and channel design stimulate the acceleration of particles into a swirling pattern.
The spray caps are manufactured in one single moulding shot. No assembly of a separate insert is required. This also means that the products consist of just one material and that they can be recycled as one part. The favourable cost-quality ratio guarantees an economical choice.
The Cooper spray cap has been introduced successfully in the personal care market, for deodorants, anti-perspirants and body sprays. This polypropylene product has a diameter of 35 mm and fits on the valve cup of aerosol cans. Especially the cost-effectiveness and spray performance make this one-piece product a popular solution. In 2008 Cooper won the Good Industrial Design Award.
That is the reason Plasticum extends this product line with different diameters and designs, using the same technology. This makes the products suitable for different product applications and market segments. Tools are being built for Victor with a diameter of 45 mm and Oscar with a diameter of 52 mm. Victor and Oscar fit directly on the aerosol can. The first customers have already shown their serious interest and the products will be launched soon.
