Innovative technologies from Plasticum at Cosmoprof
The MaxiDose silicone valve solution is a patented technology developed by Plasticum, this alongside their exciting tube technology and their Insertless Spray Technology will be on display at Cosmoprof (Cosmopack).
Products with MaxiDose Technology
Plasticum launched two standard closures with valve function: MaxiDose Cosmo for Tubes and MaxiDose Oval snap-on 25. Both closures are fitted with the MaxiDose technology, a patented valve technique that offers a fully controlled and clean dispensing. These products are perfectly suitable for personal care applications, such as creams, gels and lotions.
MaxiDose Technology
This is Plasticum’s proprietary silicone valve solution with a patented technique. The silicone material has a memory for long term seal quality and the opening/closing mechanism. Good temperature resistance is another advantage to give excellent dispensing opportunities for a wide range of viscosities and product applications.
Shaped Dispensing Tubes
Plasticum developed a technology to manufacture tubes with special design features:
- Non-cylindrical shapes, such as square, oval, triangular
- Integrated dispensing valve (with MaxiDose technology)
- Integrated closure
- In-mould-labelling, embossing, textured surfaces
The tubes are manufactured by injection moulding, using a unique patented material formulation and innovative tooling techniques. A perfect solution for customised squeeze tubes.
Products with Insertless Spray Technology
The Cooper actuator with Insertless Spray technology has been very successful. This product even won the Good Industrial Design Award in 2008. Especially the cost-effectiveness and spray performance make this one-piece product a popular solution. That is the reason Plasticum extends this product line with different diameters and designs. Products are shown at the Plasticum stand.
Insertless Spray Technology
Plasticum developed a proprietary spray solution with a patented technique, integrating both the actuator and insert. The spray orifice of the button is positioned just above the dip tube to optimise the control and performance when activating the aerosol. A special chamber and channel design stimulate the acceleration of particles into a swirling pattern.
Plasticum will exhibit at Cosmoprof (Cosmopack), Bologna 2nd to the 5th April 2009, pavillion 20 stand B/2 B.
