SR Packaging, providers of injection, extrusion, and blow molded plastic components since 1989, have released an interesting concept specifically for the upscale and luxury cosmetic markets - lipstick cases meant to be used with product inserts that ensure the consumer can purchase a full colour system that cuts down on waste and offers an attractive, signature look.

SRP's “I” series, features diverse lipsticks that present the consumer with an ideal new system for cutting down on waste and using a "cool" new concept in make up. The cases have also been designed with new opening mechanisms, reducing component parts to create a refillable tube and requiring no lubricant in the production process.  A smooth swivel is still guaranteed without using oils that could counteract with sensitive formulas or stain the packaging.

The lipstick tubes can be sold with accompanying inserts that can be swapped out, ensuring the amount of total packaging used is far less than disposable/recyclable products.  Companies appeciate being able to save on material costs without sacrificing luxury or quality, as the tubes are designed to appeal to the current "collectible" frenzy. Also, the new concept ensures further eco-sensitivity by allowing consumers to recycle the components fully.  As there is no oil used in the production process, components remain clean throughout the life of the product.

The various models within the "I" series each feature different options and configurations, to ensure broad appeal and customization choices.  In this case, the "i-Replaceable" line is the one that features quick-change lipstick tops in a unique refillable design.  Other lines include the "i-Presso I"  (featuring a “popping” design, that releases lipstick with the touch of a finger) and the "i-Presso II" (which offers the same mechanism as the i-Presso with a luxurious metal outer shell).

All of the lipstick cases are fully customizable and may be decorated using SRP's broad range of decoration techniques.
