For Christmas 2007 Stölzle Glass Group produced two 30ml custom designed bottles for Oriflame that feature all-over bas relief.

Traditionally known as ‘decanters’, these unique bottles were reserved for Christmas presentations. A square shape was used for male fragrances and a round one for female.

The relief patterns, different on each bottle shape, were inspired by Christmas icicles or snow flakes.

“The relief process offers problems to the bottle manufacturer,” said Mark Devonald Smith, STO Group Sales Director. “Care has to be taken in the preparation and manufacture of the tooling design and then in blowing the bottles if the relief is to be successfully achieved. This is particularly so with square bottles, where the glass distribution in the moulds is more taxing. We are very pleased with the results we have achieved for Oriflame.”

Round, cherry red caps for the round bottles and cylindrical bluey-grey ones for the square bottles were supplied by Aarts of Holland.
