STO design decanter for Austrian premium vodka

It took a duo of Austrian designers working with STO technicians more than a year to develop a prestige decanter sophisticated enough to be worthy of its precious contents: OVAL Vodka.

OVAL Vodka required four years of development and experimentation before its triumphant launch on the global premium vodka markets from its headquarters in Vienna. Its revolutionary manufacturing technique is called “structuring”. Alcohol molecules are surrounded by hydrogen molecules, thus producing a vodka with a taste sensation that is completely smooth and seductive.

The unique STO glass decanter reflects the shape of a tetrahedron with each triangular face containing a generous oval, echoing the molecular structure that lies behind OVAL Vodka’s exceptional flavour.

Finding tools to produce this unique decanter on standard STO production lines was a difficult process. A French company was finally located that could supply special three-part-mould hangers. These enabled STO to produce 700ml, 750ml and 1000ml OVAL decanters. To complete the OVAL production series, STO also manufactures a 50ml miniature decanter.

All the decanters are decorated in STO’s in-house facilities at Stölzle Czestochowa, Poland.
