The Magic Star range is designed to ensure the controlled dosing and hygienic application of creams, gels and lotions for a variety of applications. Designed for maximum versatility, the Magic Star can handle products of many different viscosities, making it ideal for the personal care, cosmetic and pharmaceutical markets.

The ingenious and easy-to-use airless dispensing system has been validated by several leading companies. The dispenser provides the required amount of product in one measure, avoiding the inconvenience of multiple dispenses, while its unique design means it can continue to operate smoothly even if air is trapped in the container. Equally important the system ensures minimal rest volumes.

The Magic Star’s simple modular construction, with separate body and dispensing head, not only allows each pack to be tailored to specific requirements but also shortens production lead times for fast delivery. The dispenser has been designed to be compatible with nearly all types of filling machines and a simple snap-fit head piece assembly operation ensures fast and easy handling on filling lines.

The Magic Star family has been selected by a number of top brands. In each case it has been personalised to specific product and branding requirements, thanks to the availability of a wide choice of options and specifications.

The standard Magic Star is available in a range of container sizes from 50ml to 200ml and the choice of different materials, including PP and PET, to provide the best barrier properties for each product. The Magic Star can be specified with two standard dispensing heads, including the new ‘Magic Soft’ variant, whilst custom designs are also possible.

For more unusual applications, RPC Bramlage-Wiko offers the Magic SL and Magic Oval variants. The Magic SL is RPC Bramlage-Wiko’s response to market requests for a slimline addition its renowned dispenser range. The Magic SL’s slim design – only 35mm in diameter – makes it ideal for brands wishing to provide customers with a compact packaging option. Injection moulded in polypropylene, it is available in 30ml and 50ml sizes.

The pleasing shape of the Magic Oval offers comfortable handling for consumers and so complements the rounded Magic Star and slimline Magic SL to give customers another option for the dispensing of lotions, creams and gels. The Magic Oval comes as standard in 50ml, with the option to have 100 or 150 ml sizes if desired.

All three types can be further individualised to meet particular brand image and marketing objectives with extensive decoration options, such as silk screen, tampo and offset printing, hot stamping, labelling and sleeving.

More advanced customisation options are also available to adapt the Magic Star’s dispensing technology into more unique pack types. A recent example is Boss SKIN, a high performance skincare range designed to help men “look healthier, feel confident and achieve success.” Product manufacturer Procter & Gamble required a 50ml container, incorporating aluminium parts, for three products within the range, Revitalising Moisture Cream, Instant Moisture Gel and Perfecting Skin Serum.

RPC Bramlage-Wiko’s solution combines the proven technology of the Magic Star dispenser with a bespoke design that emphasises the premium nature of the brand. The eye-catching appearance features a transparent outer layer, which is attached to an aluminium band embossed with the Hugo Boss logo, and a silver inner layer visible underneath. The dispensing mechanism is adapted from the Magic Star system, which ensures the controlled dosing and hygienic application of the products.

RPC created a new dedicated assembly line for the production of the complex pack, which comprises fourteen individual components and requires accurate orientation of the inner, outer and metal parts during manufacture and filling.

“Applications such as the Boss SKIN pack underline the flexibility of the Magic Star system,” confirms Günter Pohlmann. “No matter how it looks on the outside, inside the customer can be assured of the highest quality of functionality and reliability in dispensing.”
