Bapco Closures are delighted to reveal that their revolutionary Bapco Twister 82mm sealing system coupled with a new Graham Packaging container designed for Del Monte Fruit in a Jar, has been awarded a winning position in the competitive Food Category, alongside other innovations from ConAgra, Wal*Mart and Frito Lay.

This innovation represents a paradigm shift in packaging for pasteurized and retorted foods currently confined to glass jars and metal cans. Consumers have long awaited safe, lightweight, easy open, re-sealable containers to replace old glass jars and metal cans, and manufacturers, a product to lower operational costs with enhanced performance.

Display and formal announcement of the AmeriStar award winners will take place at the Packaging Summit Expo and Conference, in May.
