Valois sampling becomes ‘Indigo by Valois’Valois, part of the Beauty and Home division of the Aptar Group, is expanding its perfumery and cosmetics sampling activities with the introduction of Indigo by Valois.

The newly created Indigo by Valois is positioning itself as an expert in promotional samplers. The last decade has witnessed a remarkable growth in the Perfumery and Cosmetics market and where it used to take years to launch a new product, it is now only a matter of months, or even weeks. In order to get new products well established, brands need to use effective promotional tools and samplers can both convey the image of the brand and help develop customer attraction and loyalty, all at a cost-effective price.

In 2003 Valois decided to launch its Sampling Division, with its own marketing and R&D structure, to support its customers in this very specific and fast-growing market. In 2008 Valois has gone further with the introduction of ‘Indigo by Valois’. Its purpose is clear - to challenge the traditional concept of samplers and mini-products. This kind of approach is essential when it comes to ensuring that the customer is seduced by the product and that promotional and communication campaigns are successful for the brand.

From the start, Valois Sampling has focused on innovation and has developed true innovations such as Easy Spray & Easy Cap, original and elegant samplers for discovering a fragrance, and Imagin, a unique ultra-flat sampler which not only delivers a spray of fragrance but is also an advertising medium in itself - winner of the Innovation Award 2006 at the Formes de Luxe Awards and winner at the FIFI Awards in the USA. Furthermore, Valois Sampling also established numerous partnerships with its suppliers in order to offer new designs, materials, effects and colours within their sampling repertoire. Indigo by Valois is planning to go further in its search for innovative solutions to provide unique samplers and mini-products that can become the key element for brands succeeding in catching the imagination of their customers.

Indigo by Valois is located in Verneuil sur Avre, in the Eure department in Normandy, France and has dedicated teams covering all aspects of marketing, R&D, production, quality and logisitics. In addition, a dedicated salesforce is due to be set up later this year enabling Indigo by Valois to fulfil the objectives of Director Jean-Jacques Ligny, who heads this subsidiary of the Aptar Group Beauty & Home Division: “We will accelerate the expansion Valois Sampling has experienced over the last three years, providing and multiplying innovations throughout Europe and beyond”.

Indigo by Valois intends to be as reactive and creative as its symbol, a blue butterfly, flying off to give new colours to promotional sampling.
