HCT Packaging has created one of this year’s most innovative and exciting designs in the sleek form of the Halo lipgloss tottle. The outer ring, fashioned from PMMA, appears as clear as crystal, but unlike the fragility of glass, the hard shell provides sturdy protection. Weighing only 21g unfilled, the tottle remains light and airy, hence the name Halo.
The center of the tottle is made of Surlyn, which allows the contents to squeeze out with ease. Appearing transparent, the Surlyn center makes the colour of the lipgloss pop and shine through causing the product to look as if it’s floating in a seamless orb. HCT has also added a unique dip tube that ensures ALL of the gloss can be removed by a gentle squeeze.
This is the first time anyone has masterminded this for a gloss in the market place and it will revolutionize the way extraction of product occurs in the future. Finally, Halo’s flat finish makes for a pocket-friendly design and is easily stackable with other cosmetic items.
Federica Medina, HCT’s Senior Designer, reveals the source of her inspiration: “I wanted something that would be luxurious and elegant, and was immediately inspired by the look of opulent perfume bottles. The design is meant for an upmarket consumer ready to accessorize her already chic collection of makeup with something trend-setting.”
HCT will be exhibiting at Cosmoprof Bologna Pavillion 19, booth number E61 – F13
