James Alexander Corporation have introduced a large foam swab tip for the company’s Plastic Ampoule, according to the firm’s President and CEO, Francesca Fazzolari. “Over the years, we’ve had a number of customers request an applicator tip that has a larger surface area than our standard package. Since the Plastic Ampoule is offered in both 2 and 5 ml sizes, a larger surface area tip makes perfect sense for a number of applications where liquid-based products will be applied to a large surface area.” The newly designed tip is part of our ongoing efforts to develop second generation packaging that offers our customers more options for their packaging solutions,” Fazzolari said.
“The large foam swab tip is a molded plastic component with a specially designed foam applicator adhered to the plastic. We have the capability of offering a variety of different type of foams, depending on the composition of our customer’s formula and the nature of the application. Many of the foam tips can also be offered in different configurations for specific applications.”
James Alexander Corporation’s patented Plastic Ampoule (U.S. patent numbers 6,379,069, 6,641,319 and 6,869,242) allows the user to activate the package with a gentle squeeze of one hand, rupturing the patented internal membrane. Another gentle squeeze then dispenses the contents onto the applicator tip. The rate and flow of the product is easily controlled by the user.
“The large foam swab version of our Plastic Ampoule is ideal for large volume topical applications in a variety of markets, including cosmetic and personal care, health and beauty aids, pharmaceuticals, toiletries and spa products,” Fazzolari went on to say. “This version is also ideal for industrial applications of lubricants, solvents, and cleaning agents.”
James Alexander Corporation’s standard applicator tips include a cylindrical tip with a centered hole for enhanced product flow, tapered tips for precise topical applications, and a series of brush applicator tips made in a variety of materials and styles. The Plastic Ampoule can also be decorated in any Pantone Matching System® (PMS) color, and the company has three color print capability.
