After winning a prestigious Benchmark Award in the Toiletries and Cosmetics category at the end of last year, the Nude Skincare collection developed by Quadpack was once again feted at the Starpack Industry Awards 2008. The range won the gold award for the Best Cosmetics and Toiletries Design – awarded for best new brand design launched in 2007/2008 for the category. Nude Skincare is a new range of eco-friendly, all natural face and body products.

The design and execution takes the nude idea to its logical conclusion, communicating simplicity and purity with a pared-down, minimal look and feel. “These beautifully effective and minimal packs reflect the natural beauty product” and “a significant effort has been put in to delivering a unique look and feel including materials development and finishes”, commented the judges. Violaine Bargues from Nude and Quadpack Managing Director, Jeremy Garrard collected the prize at the glitzy award ceremony held at Café Royal in central London on May 22nd 2008. “We have worked together for the past 7 years with Violaine and the last 18 months creating the Nude range was a great experience for Quadpack. An added challenge was to use sustainable packaging in the range, a new concept in the cosmetic packaging industry”.

Quadpack worked with their strategic manufacturing partners based in Europe and Asia to develop the exciting range of packs. The airless packs, blow moulded bottles, pumps, closures, injection moulded jars and tubes were produced to London agency Pearlfisher’s design. To promote the new line of products Quadpack also developed two sizes of mini-elliptical PE tubes in 1.5ml and 3ml capacities. Quadpack and Nude are working towards the use of biodegradable packaging materials or the increase in the content of recycled raw materials. |
