A new packaging solution for extrusion blow molding
A solution for your transparent and hollow objects, particularly bottles with integrated handles, the Styrolux 3G46 and 684D combine excellent mechanical & optical properties. Additionally, this Styrene Butadiene block copolymer (SBC) presents high impact resistance and breaking strength, along with high transparency and exceptional gloss.
Ideal for blow molding, Styrolux® 3G46 and 684D are highly transparent SBC plastic grades that can be processed on all customary blow molding systems. In comparison to established transparent materials used for this method such as PVC, PET G or PC, Styrolux® is 30 percent lighter in weight and easier to process by extrusion blow molding (EBM) as well as by injection blow molding (IBM). It is also easily dyed, printed, glued and welded.
Saving costs, due to low processing temperatures and short cycle times, different types of transparent hollow objects such as storage containers and decorative vessels, sports drink bottles and dispensers can be manufactured cost-effectively. The material does not have to be pre-dried, thereby being even more cost-effective.
