Seaquist Closures and MFV International at HBA

Seaquist Closures and MFV International at HBASeaquist Closures and MFV International have announced an exclusive global partnership. They will exhibit together at booth 2205 in New York next week.

Under their recent agreement, Seaquist Closures has been granted exclusivity for MFV’s Push Open Closure technology.

Access to the technology includes designing and developing, manufacturing and selling, both stock and custom Press Open Closures throughout all of Europe and the Americas.

Seaquist will offer the new technology under the One Touch™ product name.

Seaquist Closures approached MFV for access to the technology based on the growing need for interactive packaging. By engaging multiple senses, interactive packaging takes the consumer’s emotional tie to the package to a new level. Through the press of a button, consumers are emotionally connected to the new closure and the package.

One Touch technology will be initially available with a Personal Care focus starting with a 2” diameter flared design, ideal for bottles or tubes. The 2” Flared One Touch offers several aesthetically unique features, including flared edges and a press-and-release finger recess button which allows the top panel to open and expose the dispensing orifice. The design is ideal for upright or inverted packages and has dual color capability.

MFV will continue to supply their POC1 and POC2 closures from Asia through Westlake Packaging (USA) and Corpack (Europe). Bottles for POC1 and POC2 are currently available through Silgan, Heinz, Corpack and Westlake Packaging.

Seaquist Closures is the global market leader in consumer preferred dispensing closures in the food, beverage, personal care and household markets. MFV is one of the leading cosmetic and toiletry packaging manufacturers in Japan.
