OEKAMETALL working with top clients Lancôme and L'Oréal have created two new ground breaking mascaras, one with a vibrating function the other with a unique shape. The new mascara "Extra Volume Collagen“ by L’Oréal Paris:
It looks like a luxury market product. Due to a high level of automation it could be realized as a mass market product.
The package is classy black. It is decorated with a gold hot foil printing.
For the complex geometry the printing process was optimized. The cap was realized by two component injection molding and leaves an exclusive optical impression.
The injection gate is absolute invisible. The big and super soft brush complements the mascara.
Lancôme – Oscillation Mascara Lancôme’s first vibrating mascara is made by OEKAMETALL. In close cooperation with Lancôme the mascara was developed and ready to go into production after a record-breaking time of only four month.
The small battery-powered motor is assembled in the cap. Pressing the button induces the vibration of the brush at 7000 oscillations per minute.
The cap features a hot foil decoration. The whole case has a transparent UV lacquered finish. Coating is done at CCO GmbH, the subsidiary of OEKAMETALL.
The UV finish provides high mechanical resistance and adds a brilliant shine to the pack. It's a novelty that not the separate parts are coated individually but the entire cap and bottle are coated in one piece.
The prerequisites for this technical feature had to be taken into account in every stage of development and assembly.
Assembly of bottle and cap and closing the mascara unit require a high degree of automation at OEKAMETALL.
