The CAP system was developed to reduce the costs of in mould labelling and improve production efficiencies, the system feeds a roll of pre-printed film to a cutting and transfer devise, only the labels needed for each cycle are cut and presented at one time totally eliminating any label separation or pick up problems.

The CAP system simply replaces the label canister on existing IML equipment, the IML robots function remains the same and collects the labels required from a flat plate presented in exactly the same place as the pre-cut label canister.

Example of savings A 4 impression 80mm round lid tool running a 5 second cycle over 12 months, with standard pre-cut labels and 12 design changes per year, the cost would be approximately £129,600. With roll fed labels produced with the CAP system the cost would be approximately £31,680. Giving a saving of £97,920. Plus improved production efficiencies.
