As an alternative to conventional screw caps, this new shape is collecting plus points all along the way.
The four wings of the cap generate a leverage while turning that vastly reduces the required manual opening force. Particularly for older or sick people with failing strength, the winged structure considerably facilitates opening and closing of their medicaments.
Medicine bottles can also be stored upside down - the wing cap gives them just as much stability as the base of the bottle. This is especially useful with highly viscous liquids, which can then collect around the bottle opening, allowing the contents to be drained to the very last drop.
In addition, top-down storage ensures that the medicament stays hermetically sealed.
