Lock n’ Pop is owned by Key Tech Corporation, founded in 1965 as a supplier of specialty chemicals to the paper and pulp industry. As Key Tech began expanding its product lines in the paper converting industry (turning paper into boxed or multi-walled bags), it developed a "surface frictionalizing technology" as a forerunner of the Lock n’ Pop pallet unitizing system.
