The long nozzle is missing - instead, the tapering duct through which the medicament is released sensitively under finger pressure lies embedded in a concave shell.

This new design offers two major advantages:

• Especially safe application.
• The flat dropper bottle can be rested along the bridge of the nose so that the concave shell is positioned like a cup over the eye. With this stabilisation, the ointment can be applied with a steady hand.

One variant of the flat dropper bottle was designed for manufacture in one piece.

Made entirely of high-quality plastic it delivers doses down to the smallest possible drop size that can be achieved by injection moulding technology. In this one-piece version the opening is formed by a needle-shaped mandrel.

The individual diameter of the mandrel, which determines the precise volume of the drop, can be varied within the mould.
