In 1968 Josef Kemmerich laid the foundation for the highly successful family-run enterprise. Together with five employees in a small factory hall in Fähnrichtstüttem, he commenced the manufacture of plastic buckets for the filling industry using two injection-moulding machines. He named the company Jokey Plastik (based on an abbreviation of his own name). Over the course of time, this title has grown into a well-known brand throughout Europe.
