Rexam announces the ‘Sof’flag® Leaflet,’ a new sampler marketing tool that will allow brands to communicate extensively about the benefits of their products, while offering significant cost-savings on the secondary packaging of the sample. Rexam is introducing this technology in the U.S. in conjunction with label manufacturer PAGO, and packaging fillers, LE PAPILLON (NJ) and BIOPACK (France).
An imaginative expansion of Rexam’s original Sof’flag® sampler that features a ‘flag’-like label affixed to a plastic Sofistic’s® or glass Sofilux® mini spray, the new ‘Leaflet’ sampler has a mini booklet attached to the vial that can hold several pages of product information for telling a brand’s full story. The booklets are available in 2, 6, 8 and 12 pages, and can be printed in up to 10 eye-catching colors. The original Sof’flag® spray samplers have been marketed successfully for the past two years in the U.S. and Europe in support of important product launches such as B Spires, Gant, and Nina Ricci.
While the ‘Sof’flag® Leaflet’ eliminates the need for costly secondary packaging, an added advantage is that the product message in the booklet always remains inseparable from the sampler. Unlike traditional sampler card supports, the Sof’flag® booklet is not immediately discarded by the consumer but stays attached to the sampler until the consumer is entirely finished using the spray. The ‘Leaflet’ also serves as an important source of information about product contents and use so that separate instructional materials are no longer required.
Sofistic’s® spray samplers are made of a compact SP5 pump and polypropylene bottle and come in 1.2 and 1.6 ml sizes. Sofilux® spray samplers feature a compact and invisible SP5K pump and a tubular glass vial in 1.0, 1.5, or 2 ml sizes. Depending on the size, the diminutive packages allow up to 20-40 sprays per vial, offering consumers the same kind of fragrance experience as the full sized retail product.
