Sharp Interpack making the difference

Sharp Interpack making the differenceSharp Interpack’s design service makes all the difference when its client, Spurway Foods, the fast-growing ethnic snacks producer is required to respond to challenging briefs set by retailers.

In response to the increasing popularity of ethnic cuisine, Spurway Foods has found its range of world cuisine chilled snacks in high demand by many large retailers. Producing a range of high quality delicacies from China, Thailand, Mexico and India, Spurway Foods has turned to the UK’s leading manufacturer of thermoformed rigid plastic packaging, Sharp Interpack to develop innovative high-performance packaging solutions for Sainsbury’s popular Taste the Difference range.

The design team at Sharp Interpack works closely with Spurway throughout the process to develop the packaging to a technically and aesthetically precise brief. Most recently the two companies worked together to create a burgundy tray which holds four samosas which sits alongside a clear, hinged pack for a single samosa.

‘Sales of ethnic food, particularly the ready to eat range, has seen an increase in popularity over recent years. Consumer feedback has been promising, and there is clearly a market for authentic cuisine and snacks,’ commented Ajaz Hussain, Managing Director at Spurway Foods.

‘Spurway has established an exclusive relationship with Sharp Interpack, and we place a great emphasis on the service it provides. By involving Sharp Interpack at the earliest possible stage of product development, we have ensured that the packaging has maximum appeal for retailers and consumers alike, without compromising our high standards,’ he continued.

‘Our retail customers are constantly seeking innovation and often we have to respond to briefs quickly and efficiently. Our affiliation with Sharp Interpack allows us to do exactly that, and without their input and expertise, our products simply wouldn’t be complete,’ he concluded.
