The SqueezMe concept features a simple and effective twist-andtear opening device designed to meet the growing demand for consumer convenience. Heinz and RPC Cobelplast worked together with laminator-printer Bastin & Co. to select a material that would allow a high-quality print finish without compromising on the products’ shelf-life and the performance of its continuous band form-fill-seal machinery.

The judges commented, “Today’s increasingly busy lifestyle means that consumers’ demand for food on the move is set to grow. Heinz has created a concept that satisfies the needs of consumer convenience, quality and value.”

In a further coup for RPC Containers, another of the shortlisted packs in the same category was the ribbed cup for Batchelors Cup a Soup to Go, manufactured by RPC Market Rasen.
