The move follows customer requests for an 84mm diameter cup to complement the existing range, comprising 76mm, 80mm, 89mm and 95mm sizes.

Thermoformed in PP/EVOH/PP, the cup combines strong barrier properties with high transparency, allowing consumers to see product contents. A choice of two standard designs is available to allow customers to better meet branding requirements.

The 84mm fruit cup is the first transparent cup in RPC Bebo Nederland’s range to contain regrind material. In close cooperation with RPC Cobelplast, RPC Bebo Nederland has succeeded in making highly transparent and competitive cups using the recycled material.

“The addition of the 84mm fruit cup extends our ability to provide cost-effective packaging to the fruit industry that is good-looking, provides excellent product protection and is efficient on production lines,” comments Robert Steinmeijer, Team Leader of Ambient Shelf Stable Food Packaging.

A number of customers are using the new cup size, including Venus Growers in Greece, Liberty Gold in the United States and several processed fruit packers in China.
