The TWIN/itT double lid is a unique solution for combi-packs made up of several different food types. Combinations such as meat and salad, tapas with dips, and others that often require separate production facilities are now possibilities. In fact it is possible to pack and seal foods from different producers, and then combine them together using the TWIN/itT lid.

The TWIN/itT lid also solves the problem of having to meet the statutory requirement of physically separating the production processes in order to prevent bacteria contamination. e.g. salad and meat.

The TWIN/itT lid also benefits consumers - it reduces time spent in store as the combinations required are already together in one pack. Moreover, to prepare the food consumers only need to separate the parts from each other and, in accordance with the cooking instructions, place the part that requires heating in the oven or microwave. The packaging can also be used as an excellent way of storing any remaining food in the refrigerator for future consumption.

The TWIN/itT double lid has been developed in collaboration with the Belgian firm Pere Olive, which is using the lid solution for a Tapas/Grissini combination. The double lid is made of polypropylene and is suitable for heating meals in microwave ovens and is freezer proof to -40?C. The two containers snap securely to the TWIN/itT lid providing good product security. Farch Plast has high hopes for the TWIN/itT double lid, not least following the recently awarded Worldstar prize.
