Coffee specialist Beyond the Bean has selected a dispenser from Rieke Packaging Systems for the fast and effective dosing of its new Sweetbird range of flavoured syrups. Beyond the Bean offers a variety of products, equipment and services to complement coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The Sweetbird syrups for hot and cold drinks comprise 33 distinctive flavours spread across four product categories – coffee, fruit, iced tea and chai.
The company was seeking an effective, mess-free dispensing method that would suit the fast-moving foodservice environment. In particular, the key requirement was for an accurate dose, as Beyond the Bean supplies recipes for every syrup and the amount of product to be used is given by the number of ‘pumps’ required to dispense the syrup.
The Rieke RS10 dispenser selected by Beyond the Bean delivers a consistent 8ml dose, calibrated to the particular viscosity of the syrups. The two-piece head design is convenient and easy to use and guarantees vertical discharge directly into the mug or glass.
The RS10 is fully shippable in the lock-down position for ease of transportation, and features a ribbed 33mm closure to fit the 1litre plastic bottle used to package the syrups. Both the head and closure are supplied in black to provide a striking visual effect.
