CurTec is proud to present Kiuso: an industrial packaging with a unique closure system that scores especially in relation to the aforementioned points. | | Innovation Description | Kiuso boasts a simple closure principle: push it (mechanically) to close and turn it (manually) to open. The push mechanism ensures the container can be handled at a relatively high speed during filling. The cover has a tear-off edge that ensures the content is tamper-evident.
Since the closure is waterproof, liquids cannot escape and moisture cannot penetrate into hygroscopic substances. Kiuso is UN-certified and suitable for hazardous solid substances. The lid is manufactured by means of two-component injection moulding technology, ensuring that the closure and lid form a whole. Thanks to the choice of plastic, Kiuso is a suitable packaging for a wide range of chemicals.
As of October, Kiuso will be available in a 20-litre version. A 30-litre version will follow in November. Kiuso has been developed for specialty chemical applications, but is also ideal for pharmaceuticals and food ingredients.
Kiuso has been nominated for the "Gouden Noot" packaging competition in the Netherlands and will be on display at the following European packaging trade fairs in the autumn: Empack Brussels, Fachpack Neurenberg, Macropak Utrecht and Emballage Paris.
