The packaging, aerosol and distribution systems sector is doing well.

In this context, ADF&PCD PARIS 2019 took place on 30 and 31 January 2019 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Organised by Easyfairs Oriex, this year’s fair brought together nearly 615 French and international exhibitors over 8,000 professional visitors who swarmed around the stands of ADF&PCD.

ADF&PCD PARIS primarily remains an extremely enjoyable event, and is proving to be a place for people to meet and interact, and ultimately for all professionals to network.

Attendance and visitor interest constantly increasing

Another sign of the fair’s success is its increasingly international perspective with more than 31% of international visitors coming from nearly 80 countries.

ADF&PCD 2019 has kept its promises and achieved very positive results both in terms of the offer presented, attendance by professionals and the quality of visitors. ADF&PCD PARIS is the go-to, unmissable annual event at the start of the year in Paris.

“We’re delighted with this year’s 2019 ADF&PCD PARIS, both from a commercial point of view with a very high level of satisfaction regarding the quality of the fair and the profile of visitors, and in terms of the atmosphere based on listening and discussion. As organisers, we’re very happy with this 13th ADF show and 15th PCD show. Finally, I would like to thank all the exhibitors and those who came to visit for their loyalty to this crucial industry event,” says Christelle ANYA, Event Director of ADF&PCD Paris and ICON.

Highlights of ADF&PCD Paris 2019

The two-day ADF&PCD Paris 2019 show was punctuated by many events.

As well as chatting to exhibitors, visitors attended many highlights in line with their requirements. Nearly 50 talks were held on topics related to the market and trends.

14 awards and 19 certificates awarded during a unique ceremony on Thursday, 31 January

The ADF&PCD PARIS 2019 Awards saw the industry’s most outstanding innovations rewarded in front of numerous professionals.

Also noteworthy was the official opening of the PCD Awards ceremony by Michel Guten, former Vice President of Cartier, former President of Lancel and Founder of the Institut Supérieur de Marketing du Luxe. He shared some thoughts and questions with an attentive audience for packaging market professionals to mull over.

“Packaging has always existed!”

“Do cases help improve image and/or boost sales?”

“You have to know the luxury market well; the supplier and company have to speak the same language”.

Where innovations and trends meet

The show also made a decisive shift this year towards products Made in France, sustainable development and presenting innovations.

ADF&PCD PARIS 2019 showcased the latest innovations and trends in the sector. A rich, packed programme was enjoyed this year, with talks, meetings and discussions at the heart of the Innovation and Technology Theatre (ITT), the Pentawards presentation, exploration of the Accelerator platform dedicated to start-ups and indie brands, the Imprim’Luxe section and ICON appointments. Organised tours on the topics Made in France and Eco-Tour were very popular and a great success.

Nearly 120 people attended for the four sessions over the two days. The press presentations and the cocktail event celebrating 15 years of PCD – with entertainment provided by LA, a young artist writer, author and performer who ensured all exhibitors and visitors ended the first day of exhibitions on a relaxed, musical note were also memorable. Nicolas Vial, a famous French press illustrator and painter, was also involved in the event, capturing key moments and signing the Imprim’Luxe brochures.

Official PLD announcement – Packaging of Premium & Luxury Drinks launches

PLD was designed for professionals working with packaging for wines and spirits and other premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. This first international show will be an inspirational platform in terms of creativity and technical solutions. To date, over 25 international packaging leaders have committed to attend this show, which will be incorporated into ADF&PCD PARIS next year.

“We’re delighted that we’ve attracted such prestigious companies as Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics, Knoll Prestige Packaging, Kurz, Pavisa France, Seram and Sleever International among others to PLD so quickly. The level of interest highlights the strong links between the packaging community for perfumes and cosmetics, which is already present at ADF&PCD, and the premium and luxury drinks packaging community which will attend PLD,” says Paul MacDonald, Global Brand Director - Packaging at Easyfairs.

“This show will allow us to offer professionals a unique, richer, more targeted event in the packaging sector. The complementarity of these three events is a great development opportunity for the markets,” says Josh Brooks, Business Development Director - Packaging at Easyfairs.

UNQUE AND UNIFYING,
