ADF&PCD a huge hit in second year!

The second New York edition of ADF (Aerosol Dispensing Forum) and PCD (Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design), held September 6-7 at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion, attracted 10 percent more visitors compared to last year. And, 70 percent of exhibitors rebooked onsite for next year.

“We are thrilled with the success of ADF&PCD, and with the feedback we received from visitors and exhibitors alike. A 70% rebooking rate says a lot, and further emphasizes the highly targeted audience in attendance!” said show director Christelle Anya.

Some of the leading brands that were represented include Bayer, Church & Dwight, Colgate-Palmolive, Coty, Estée Lauder, GlaxoSmithKline, ITW, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oréal, P&G, Reckitt Benckiser, Revlon, S.C. Johnson & Son, Sherwin-Williams, Stylus, Unilever, WD-40, among numerous others.

The ADF Conference program drew standing rooms only crowds that spilled into the show aisles. And the revamped format for the PCD Conference program also attracted capacity crowds, a significant improvement compared to last year.

“Our team worked very hard, conducting market research and meeting with industry leaders in the beauty industry, to understand their most pressing, real-world challenges. Then, we curated a high-level conference program to specifically address these challenges,” explained Anya. “We are delighted that the effort paid off and the industry responded. We want to encourage the industry to constantly liaise with us and share their current challenges so that we can address these next year.”

Hot packaging topics included the global beauty trends, sustainability, e-commerce, and getting a real understanding of the consumer. Specific topics addressing the aerosol and dispensing community such as current regulation and technical advances and innovations were presented as well.

Attendees also enjoyed the ADF&PCD Innovation Awards Ceremony, with awards presented TO COPPERTONE Whipped Lotion Sunscreen, KANEBO Evita Beauty Whip Soap, BALL CORPORATION L’Oréal Men Expert, AVEDA Tulasara Wedding Masque, BOBBI BROWN Liquid Lip Art Stick, GARNIER FRUCTIS renovation, and CALVIN KLEIN CK One Gold.

The Innovation Awards ceremony concluded with an evening cocktail reception sponsored by Power Container, which allowed attendees to meet the winners and network with fellow industry professionals.

ADF&PCD to expand in 2018

Show organizer, Easyfairs announced plans to expand ADF&PCD in 2018, with the addition of its popular Packaging Innovations show, Europe’s largest series of primary and secondary packaging events, which will run alongside the Pentawards Conference and Pentawards Live, a global curation of award winning packaging design.

This unique concept will bring together an exclusive mix of brands, design agencies, packaging manufacturers, material producers and innovators across all market sectors to learn, network, discover, collaborate and do business.

ADF&PCD, with Packaging Innovations, Pentawards Conference and Pentawards Live, as well as some NEW features, will take place on September 5-6, 2018, at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street), New York City.
