ADF&PCD Shanghai 2019, China’s only event specifically dedicated to the aerosol, dispensing, perfume, cosmetic, packaging & design community, will host more content than ever before, all designed to help brands keep up with rapidly changing consumer demands.

The exclusive event, back for its second edition, returns to The Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing, on 27 & 28 March, with more content than ever focused on tackling the biggest consumer frustrations within the marketplace.

Paul MacDonald, Global Brand Director of the Easyfairs Packaging Portfolio, comments: “Our data shows that the Chinese cosmetics and personal care markets’ customers are demanding higher quality products. They expect companies to be smarter when it comes to the packaging they offer; it needs to be more sustainable, better designed and offer greater levels of consumer interaction.

We’re clearly seeing this consumer pressure driving registrations to our show. This isn’t surprising as ours is the only event in the region where brands can meet with all the leading suppliers and hear first-hand from the world’s most successful beauty brands and packaging experts. Companies understandably want to grab this opportunity to get the packaging help and inspiration they need.”

Visitors to ADF&PCD Shanghai 2019 will be able to hear from some of the world’s leading packaging designers and international brands, as part of The Pentawards Conference. Marie Dalgar, Yuesai, Marubi and Suntory are just some of the names taking to the stage to share their experiences, knowledge and insights.

Pechoin, one of China’s leading cosmetic brands, which recently rebranded to keep up with the ever-changing market place, will present ‘innovation of cosmetic packaging design under cross-border trends’.

Sustainability continues to be one of the most talked about subjects, with visitors calling for brands to be more environmentally conscious. Anyone with a ‘green’ interest will not want to miss the talk by Idee Liu, Design Director at Proya, who will detail the latest in sustainable innovation and analyse consumer reaction to environmental protection.

In addition to show content, ADF&PCD Shanghai 2019 showcases innovative and industry leading suppliers. Singapore Estes Engineering will be showcasing its high-pressure aerosol can leak tester; Foshan Anran Import & Export will be presenting its new perfume bottle range; whilst Taizhou Hankai Plastic Products will unveil its new style double wall acrylic bottle and cream jar.

In addition to this, the event’s Innovation Gallery will provide the perfect platform to see the most cutting-edge solutions and technologies from the show floor. This will include a new digital printing machine from Hinterkopf – The D240.2, which prints to a higher precision on aluminum, steel or plastic than ever before. Alongside this will be the Made in France Pouch and cord, woven from recycled fibres. It offers a choice of textile patch and marking, as well as metal letters or hot engraving.

MacDonald concludes: “The Chinese cosmetics and personal care markets are growing and changing fast. There are huge opportunities, but for the brands trying to keep pace with the demands of the region’s consumers, the pressure is on to innovate. Packaging has a huge role to play in this process, making ADF&PCD Shanghai an unmissable event in 2019.”

Seats for each Pentawards Conference session are limited to 200 people, so visitors need to register early to secure a space. For further information, visit the website or via the show team on +44 (0)20 3196 4425 or balwinder.tank@easyfairs.com.
