The result of 6 years exclusive co-development by Albéa and L'Oréal teams, the new tube for L'Oréal Paris' Casting Crème Gloss is a technological breakthrough for the at-home permanent hair coloring market. This type of formulation tends to be highly reactive to oxygen and only aluminum tubes could contain it – until now.
An innovative proprietary technology that consolidates the Albéa group's expertise in tubes
Albéa, the world leader in laminate and plastic tubes, is innovating to offer an effective alternative to aluminum tubes thanks to its proprietary O2 Wall Tube technology.
Albéa O2 Wall Tube technology is unique as it is the only way to guarantee integral bulk protection throughout the laminate tube, from head to join. Laminate tubes made with O2 Wall Tube technology are as strong and protective as aluminum tubes. They deliver all the design qualities of conventional laminate tubes, with a more flexible touch and endless decoration possibilities. In addition, they have a lower carbon footprint (below 80%)*.
L'Oréal and Albéa have long been cooperating on make-up, pump and tube developments. L'Oréal has selected Albéa once again as a strategic supplier for the global rollout of this new laminate tube. This breakthrough is above all a team effort by experts from both companies. They have been working hand in hand and transparently for six years to develop a technical and industrial solution that meets L'Oréal's needs.
The launch shows "the Albéa group's ability to create innovative, complex solutions for its customers and roll them out worldwide together", Philippe Thuvien, VP Packaging & Development at L'Oréal, comments..
Thanks to its patented O2 Wall Tube technology and on the strength of this first commercial success, Albéa is now well-positioned on the at-home color market.
