For just over 5 years Alloga UK have supported an inspired cause in International Health Partners (IHP) by working with medicinal manufacturers to pick pack and deliver stock into IHP's overseas exporter who distribute lifesaving medication across the globe.

IHP coordinates the donation of medical products from the healthcare industry to those in the developing world. They respond rapidly to humanitarian disasters, support long-term healthcare development projects and equip doctors with supplies they wouldn't otherwise have access too. As a licensed and regulated distributor of medical aid IHP are able to maintain a safe and secure supply chain.

Alloga UK are now helping IHP further in a project to create prepacked doctors' travel packs, a pre-packed assortment of 60+ lines of essential medicines and supplies. These packs are then provided to healthcare professionals, who every year travel overseas to take part in voluntary medical missions in the developing world.

Alloga UK will be supporting the project by packing around 600 travel packs throughout the year thanks to 238 employees who have committed to giving up their Saturdays to pack the doctors travel packs. The company is proud to be supporting IHP, with the business and employees happily donating their Saturdays, warehouse facilities, IT development, boxes and materials. This is a great opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful cause.

Alloga, one of the UK's leading pre-wholesaling and contract logistics companies, is developing another custom built, modern warehouse facility in the East Midlands.

Building of the new 219,000 square foot Alloga warehouse facility begun last month, to accommodate the company's growing volume of business, which is part of the Pharmaceutical Wholesale Division of Walgreens Boots Alliance.

Alloga provides supply chain solutions to the UK healthcare industry, offering specialist storage, fulfilment and distribution services for pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, veterinary and consumer product manufacturing companies.

Based at Derbyshire, South Normanton, and currently operating five warehouse facilities, Alloga's development of Amber Park 6 will expand the capabilities of the pre-wholesale business, and further increase job opportunities in the local area.

The new modern warehouse will be located on the Castlewood Business Park close to Junction 28 of the M1 which is directly adjacent to Alloga's existing distribution facility. Amber Park 6 will feature 10,700 square foot of office space, as well as the capacity to store 40,000 pallets, 20 dock-level loading doors and the warehouse will be ambient temperature-controlled.

Chris Williams, Managing Director of Alloga UK, states: "We are delighted to have concluded the design, planning and legal phases of this exciting project. Being able to build our sixth business unit demonstrates the growth and success of our business. The great facilities and prominent location of the Castlewood Business Park were important factors in our decision to build a new facility for Alloga in Derbyshire. Once complete, this development will further enhance our ability to provide innovative solutions and services for our customers.

"Our capabilities and service offering for our customers, and manufacturer partners, will continue to evolve with this investment. We look forward to seeing operations begin later in the year," Williams added.

The announcement of the new development of Amber Park 6 is in line with Alloga's comprehensive three year business strategy which includes a focus on property and capital development, 'to meet the ever changing needs of our clients.'
