New HDPE Canisters from Alpha Offer Three Neck Finishes in 11 Sizes

  • Pretium Packaging

Alpha Packaging, a leading manufacturer of plastic bottles and jars for the personal care, pharmaceutical and nutritional supplement industries, has recently introduced a new line of canisters ranging in size from 32 ounces to 100 ounces. Each size canister will be available in three different 120mm neck finishes, including one finish that can accept either a Pano Cap Tamper Evident closure or a Continuous Thread closure, as well as two different Triple Lead styles that each work with deep skirt custom closures.

All of these new canisters are extrusion blow molded at Alpha’s Ypsilanti, Michigan plant.

For companies that need a tamper-evident closure, or wish to use a standard 120-400 CT closure, they should order the 120-400 CT/Pano neck style. Continuous thread closures will sit high on the bottle, so the small bead beneath the threads will be exposed. To ensure proper fit of a 120-400 CT closure, we recommend that customers purchase lined closures.

Customers who order the “Triple Lead Tall” (TLT) neck finish will need to purchase custom deep skirt closures from Phoenix Closures. The Triple Lead thread design engages the closure threads at three separate points. We call this the Triple Lead Tall because the threads have a tall “S” dimension (the distance from the top of the threads to the top of the bottle, also called the land area). Alpha developed the “Triple Lead Short” (TLS) neck finish to accommodate customers who already have 120mm deep skirt closures from Sho-Me Container or Priority Plastics. We call this the Triple Lead Short because the threads have a short “S” dimension.

Samples of 33 canisters can be ordered by visiting http://www.alphap.com/products/catalog.html and searching under Alpha’s HDPE Wide Mouth bottles for HDPE Straight Sided Canisters.
