Au Vodka dazzles with ultra-glam all-gold AMP can

Luxury vodka makers Au Vodka Ltd are going for all-out glamour as they launch their very first pre-mixed RTD in a spectacular gold can.

The UK company’s award-winning Blue Raspberry vodka is mixed with quality sparkling soda to create a deliciously sweet 5% ABV drink that’s a thrilling electric blue – and as their very first RTD in a can, this unmissable look demanded a packaging solution to match. Choosing a highly reflective gold colour for the can body, end and tab, Au Vodka has worked with Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) to create an irresistibly charismatic pack with immense visual impact.

Au is, of course, the symbol for gold in the periodic table. Au Vodka’s upscale branding is based on the rare element and its associated qualities of power and perfection, symbolising the exceptional five-times-distilled British vodka at the heart of the company’s drinks. The 330ml slim can features simple, minimal text against the abundant gold, with the classic periodic table “Au” square, complete with its atomic number, in sizzling blue.

We worked closely with their graphics department to create the concept, followed by a site visit to finalise the finer details. After approving the sample, we had an insightful tour behind the scenes to see how the cans are manufactured. The new can comes on to the market ready for the long, heady party nights of summer. With their fantastic convenience, lightness, ease of recycling and quick chilling properties, canned RTDs are an increasingly popular choice for outdoor consumption, and the alluring Blue Raspberry can will appeal not only to 18-35 year olds who enjoy casual drinking events with friends, but also a wider range of consumers flexing their glamorous side at festivals and parties.
