Furthermore, moving is an experience that only a few of us can describe as “fun” since the task of doing so could put a lot of strain on our physical and psychological wellbeing.

The hassle of moving, however, can be minimized through careful planning and effective execution.

Planning for a move includes the procurement of all supplies that you need to pack. Based on the inventory of all your belongings, a list of all required supplies should be at hand. The type of items to be packed should be the primary concern in selecting materials for packing. You need to ensure that all your valuable belongings are appropriately protected inside sturdy containers or corrugated boxes.

Delicate objects such as glass figurines, china wares and artworks should be properly packed, labelled and isolated to avoid any unwanted scratches or breakage that can really ruin not only your moving experience but also your pocket. Through proper and effective packing, your valuable items will be safe and protected.

Speaking of which, the following tips and guidelines will teach you how to properly pack your stuff and ensure a close to “fun” experience during your “move”.

1. Create a record or inventory of all the items that you need to pack.

2. List and identify all the items that will require specialized packing materials such as bubble wrap, custom-sized corrugated boxes, packaging tapes, etc.

3. Create a list of all needed packaging supplies to ensure that you have everything you need when you start packing your stuff.

4. Nowadays, corrugated boxes are considered as every mover's best friend since it can accommodate all kinds of stuff including your kitchen utensils and electronic devices. Therefore, it is a must that you to look for sturdy boxes that are made from high quality materials.

Corrugated boxes are usually available at grocery stores. You can also get them through shipping companies and liquor shops. There are also internet sites that sell a wide range of durable boxes in all possible sizes at discounted prices.

5. Labeling everything will help keep you sane during the process. A properly organized box will help you identify your belongings and minimize efforts finding the said stuff during unpacking. However it is still advisable to have a spare box where you can place any miscellaneous items.

6. Last but not the least; don’t forget to place your packing list inside each box.
