New Investments Expand Capacity for Growing Demand in Food and Homecare Markets

North America, USA, Eating, Drinking, Home Care

As homecare, food and personal care markets experience rapid growth, Berry Global Group, Inc. is making strategic investments to expand capacity and support its customers' growing demand for continuous thread closures. New equipment is scheduled to come online in two, key closures production facilities in Evansville, Indiana, and Baltimore, Maryland.

A new cell in Berry’s Evansville facility will expand available capacity for the 28 mm polypropylene continuous thread closure style. Made of widely-recyclable polypropylene, this closure features a 400 neck thread, smooth top, and fine-ribbed sidewall for optimal grip. The modified buttress, or "M style," thread profile offers more precise closure-to-bottle thread contact to protect from leaks and external contaminants. The closure is available with a standard liner sealing system. The new equipment will start up for production by May 2022. Both continuous thread closure styles are suited for a range of markets and applications, such as sauces, salad dressings, dips, floor cleaners, surface care refills, and laundry detergents. New mold and lining capabilities are coming soon to Berry’s Baltimore facility to expand capacity for the 38 mm, 400 continuous thread closure style. This closure, with universal appeal, features a fine-ribbed sidewall, matte top, "M style," thread profile and standard liner. View this product or request a samples in Berry’s online catalog.

As the industry-leader in continuous thread closures, Berry Global is committed to next-level innovation in product design and technology to support customers’ growing demands throughout the markets it supplies.
