A reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 7%, a record percentage in the use of PCR (post-consumer recycled material), and a record low in recordable employee incidents are some of the successful results that Berry Global details in its 2020 Impact Report. The overall goal is to minimise product and operational impacts, and engage partners, including employees, suppliers, customers and communities, on key sustainability issues.

“Sustainability reporting is one of the many ways we demonstrate our continued commitment to transparency surrounding our performance in corporate citizenship; not just environmental sustainability, but also how we engage our partners and work with integrity to achieve our goals,”

says Tom Salmon, Chairman and CEO of Berry Global.

    Innovative packaging solutions

Berry Superfos is part of this progress and, as a leader in innovative packaging, our customers look to us for leadership and solutions for the future:

“In step with the Berry Group‘s efforts and commitments to promote a more circular economy, Berry Superfos is designing solutions to help our customers achieve the growing need of their consumers for sustainable packaging solutions,” says Søren Rohleder, CEO of Berry Superfos.

Through our success in package light-weighting, integration of post-consumer resin (PCR), design for circularity, and use of bio-resins, Berry Global, including Berry Superfos, continues to collaborate with our customers to meet and exceed their sustainability goals. Notable highlights of progress regarding Berry’s environmental sustainability goals include:

    • Record percentage of PCR used
