Coster extends cosmetic GMP to pump production

ISO 22716:2008 certification for good manufacturing practices in cosmetic products has been achieved by Coster's pump production plant located at Calceranica al Lago, Trento. All dispensing, perfumery and spray pumps produced at "Coster 2" will be made in line with the highest manufacturing and service standards required by the industry, which ensures GMP consistency across the supply chain by cosmetic producers.

"Coster 2" is the fourth Coster plant to obtain the certificate, following "Coster 3" (aerosol valves), "Costerplast" and "Tecnocoster" (actuators and spray caps). The obtainment of the certification is part of a wider strategy to extend the GMP throughout the Coster Group. All of Coster's core Italian productions of actuators, pumps and valves, are ISO 22716 certified.

GMPs introduce a consistent management system approach to documenting and regulating the production, control, storage and shipment of all packaging components produced in the certified sites. The procedures apply to all production, meaning that clients – regardless if they are active in the cosmetic business or not – will equally benefit from it.
