Every day there are more categories of refillable beauty products available on beauty websites, demonstrating that refillable products are becoming a staple in the industry.

However, despite consumers looking for more sustainable alternatives, they don't always choose the refillable versions, even when they represent the most sustainable alternative. Does it have anything to do with availability, price, or perceived value?

The answer might be elsewhere. At the end of the day, we live in a world of convenience and immediacy, people seek practical solutions that require a minimum effort to succeed. So, how can we convince consumers that refillable cosmetic packs ensure an exquisite and easy experience? Beauty is all about indulgence, after all.

Well, at Element, we began by developing effortless makeup refills in aluminum:

• First, we've got single or double-pan makeup palettes where all you have to do is snap on the pans and secure them to the body to keep the formula safe. For additional convenience, a mirror can also be easily inserted into the pack.
• Then, we introduced customizable refillable mascara packs in either round or square shapes for easy branding. The refill cartridge has been designed for an easy insert and is perfectly functional.

The cherry on top is the fact that this range of packaging is fully refillable. Because they are separable, most components (mascara cap & base + palette body and pans) are also recyclable at the end of life.
