In-mold Labeling or IML as it is commonly referred to is a technique whereby a preprinted PP label is placed in the mold, fusing with it to become one and resulting in a better graphic quality result where both time and money are saved as Kornelis' closures are produced and decorated in a single step.

The principal advantage of IML with Kornelis is the chance to stand out from the rest of the pack on the shelf. In-mold labeling results in the highest print quality as the offset printing technique ensures high resolution imagery in up to eight colours and as the imagery is fused within the packaging, it is both scratch and scuff resistant and centrally positioned at any size whether on the side, all-over, or on the top of the lid.

IML is both hygienic and 100% recyclable. Labels are Polypropylene the same as Kornelis' caps and closures, so no more expired labels on the production line, in fact IML actually strengthens plastic walls and comprising of the same material ensures that it can be fully recycled.

A further advantage is that production time and costs are reduced.  The decoration process is combined with production making one less step in the total production process and enabling quick design changeovers if required.

Kornelis specializes in customized closure designs, though the company also provides a wide range of standard items. Ever since Kornelis was established, it has designed and manufactured standard caps and closures as well as bespoke solutions for a variety of high profile clients. Strategically placed in "The heart of Europe" Kornelis is able to serve the European market competitively.
