Plastics Recyclers Europe

Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) works to protect and promote the interests of plastics recyclers in Europe, to establish a profitable and sustainable plastics recycling industry by helping recyclers develop and implement the circular economy model across Europe.

Who we are

In its first years, PRE recycled 200,000 tonnes of plastic waste. Now, this amount has reached 3 million tonnes, constituting 80% of European recycling capacity. With collective efforts and strong commitment of the plastics industry and legislators, this number will only continue to grow.

When created in 1996, the association had 7 members. Today, more than 120 companies across Europe are a part of PRE.

We aim to promote plastics recycling and create conditions that enable profitable & sustainable business, all while offering a service platform to our members.

What we do

As part of our key services, PRE provides plastics recyclers with representation at the European level and among the leading industry organizations. The company promotes the use of quality plastic recyclates and offers concrete advice to develop innovative products and packages that have an eco-friendly design.
