High quality decorative effects to enhance the luxury image of products in the drink and beauty sectors will be demonstrated by rigid box specialist Pollard Boxes at this year’s Luxe Pack in Monaco, along with a host of eye-catching designs that help maximize on-shelf presence and appeal in competitive markets.
A highlight of the stand will be the travel retail presentation box created for Glenfiddich 21 year old whisky, which showcases a number of intricate decoration techniques as well as demonstrating Pollard’s technical expertise in producing the box automatically, where previously it would have required hand assembly.
The Glenfiddich 21 box features two opening doors to create a see-through effect on shelf, with magnetic closures that hold the doors flush to the sides of the box to maintain its elegant lines. The range of decorative effects used in the highly detailed quality graphics include thermal embossing, micro embossing, and fluted and flat foiling.
A wide variety of other samples will also be shown to demonstrate Pollard’s design expertise and the company’s continuing investment in state-of- the-art manufacturing, specialist materials and advanced decoration techniques.
Examples include 330mm deep boxes and slipcases for premium drinks and the accurate incorporation of clear windows into packs for enhanced product display. Among the specialist finishes on display will be sparkle and soft velvet effects, multi- colour printing, spot UV varnish, embossing, hot foil stamping and lamination. Pollard’s comprehensive in-house service, comprising design, manufacture, decoration and finishing, and the availability of a fulfilment operation, means the company can handle an entire project from concept to delivery, and members of the sales team will be on the stand to discuss specific requirements with visitors.
