New box is the ultimate in luxury

Pollard Boxes is producing the eye-catching and luxurious presentation box for the just-launched first blended malt whisky from Chivas Regal.

The new Chivas Regal Ultis is the combination of five single malts which has been created as a tribute to the five master blenders who have maintained the Chivas house style since 1909.

The box from Pollard had to establish a strong presence on-shelf and reflect the uniqueness and luxury nature of the new blend.  The technically-challenging book jacket style pack features extensive high-impact diamond embossing with a foil surround.  A debossed area accommodates the intricate Ultis label and the pack also includes a ribbon with brand signifier.

The paper has a bespoke recipe with a ‘soft touch’ to further enhance the consumer experience.  As scuffing can be a problem with most soft touch papers, Pollard and Chivas Brothers worked closely with the paper supplier and the mill to achieve the optimum material construction that delivered the required effect while remaining scuff-resistant.

The inside of the box incorporates a fitment to hold the bottle in place for safe distribution while maintaining the premium image as the pack is opened.  The inside of the jacket also includes explanatory copy that references the five master blenders.

The box is manufactured at Pollard’s factory in Leicester and the company co-ordinated the entire project, working closely with Chivas Brothers.
